• Safari & Zanzibar Packages:

Private, flexible packages that combine a Tanzania safari with a Zanzibar beach holiday. Ideal for couples, families, or anyone wanting a full start-to-finish Tanzania experience including accommodation, activities, and transfers.

What should I pack for a Tanzania safari?

Accepted Answer

We recommend light clothing in neutral colours, a warm layer for early mornings, sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a good camera. Be sure not to forget a good pair of thick socks and a warm jacket or jumper as evenings and early mornings are cold!

A 4X4 can only hold a backpack size bag per person, so be sure to pack light and prepare a bag for only the days you will be out on Safari - leave your main luggage at our secure accommodation in Arusha!

Do you arrange airport pickup and transfers?

Yes, many of our safari packages, Zanzibar holidays, and group tours include airport pickup and onward transport to make your arrival smooth and stress-free.

Our Safari only tours may not include your airport pick up, as they start and finish in Arusha - however we can happily arrange an airport pick up for you if required!

How fit do I need to be for safaris or hikes?

Our safaris are suitable for most fitness levels!

Moderate fitness is ideal for activities like walking safaris, hiking, or optional excursions such as Mount Kilimanjaro treks. Basic training, such as walking daily, in preparation for Kilimanjaro Hikes is recommended.

Will I have access to Wi-Fi and electricity during my trip?

Accepted Answer

Most lodges, hostels, and accommodations have Wi-Fi and electricity, but some safari camps in remote parks may have limited access. Our team can help arrange a local sim card for you during your stay to ensure better connectivity.

Can I pay in cash, or should I bring a card?

Accepted Answer

Tanzanian shillings are widely used; ATMs are available in Arusha and Zanzibar, but remote areas rely on cash. Major cards are accepted at some lodges and restaurants, but we recommend bringing a combination of cash and cards. Its helpful to bring some USD with you too - just in case.

Do I need any vaccinations or health precautions?

Accepted Answer

For vaccines, we recommend speaking with your GP as they will give the best advice. But most people will obtain ones like Typhoid/Hep A, Tetanus and Rabies if you choose. Anti malarial tablets are also recommended.
